Overview
 
MotoGP is the main moto world championship, a season that develops through
18 Grand Prix in 14 Countries and that involves the greatest manufacturer
like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Kawasaki , Aprilia and KTM along
with top pilots coming from everywhere.
The motos used in the MotoGP are prototypes built specifically for competitions
and are not available to the production nor they can legally be driven on public
streets.
 
The Grand Prix World Championship was organized for the first time by the
International Motocycling Federation (FIM) in 1949 and now represents
the greatest moto World Championship compared to the existing ones.
 
The MotoGP has started a new era in the year 2002 when the new rules
allowed the motos with 4 cycles engeen to participate.
 
The 2007 season, the engine power were increased from  990 cc to 800
allowing a more challenging show thanks to a higher speeds on bends
and more competitive races.
